Idk how Washington works but my city's had this for a long time. For Californian's it depends on your city's waste management provider's services they offer. I just end up dropping it off at O' Rileys cause it's a minute away.

Also for the free oil containers just contact whatever company that picks up your trash.

This is good info. I'll see if my trash service picks up oil on request.

how I feel about "pollution" all of the materials that have been deemed were all made from materials that can be found on earth. I personally see it as humbug. But then again I'm all for recycling plastic.

I do the exact same thing. They don't really appreciate it at my local autozone/orileys, but I used to work in the service department at a dodge dealer and the techs there wouldn't care if I threw my 5 gallon bucket into their recycling container. They also have one for antifreeze, but my car is too low to put a catch pan under there, and my 20+ year old jack just went out. Wonder if they want me to recycle that hydraulic fluid thats in there as well...

Haha neither do I, I buy OE oil filters for my bmws.

I took in a few filters for my brother and exchanged them for some brand name called WIX? Heard they were just as good (if not better) than the general FRAM filters

At least in Nova Scotia you can drop your waste oil, tyres and coolent off at any Canadian tire and they will dispose of it.

I usually put the oil into those 5 gal. buckets and when they're full I take them to an O'reillys/Napa and pour it into the oil recycle tanks that they have.

Pour mine into old containers so I can use it to get fires started.
