the biggest known problem with E30's is the car itself. jk jk just as any 20+ year old car, needs a lot of maintenance and some love.Originally posted by dvckI'm going to say this nicely; go fuck yourself.Comment

Known issue is kids like Tryna who keep driving the resale value up by thinning the pool.Last edited by Exodus_2pt0; 11-03-2014, 11:32 AM.No E30 ClubOriginally posted by MrBurgundyAnyways, mustangs are gay and mini vans are faster than your car, you just have to deal with that.Comment

I only ask because I always seem to hear about the expensive stuff AFTER I purchase. I have a Boxster with 60K and a blown engine, due to a problem everyone else already knew about.
Same with a 94 RX-7 with a blown motor. I really should research prior to buying, but haven't learned my lesson yet.Porsche-BMW... All the same, right?Comment

Provide some specifics on the car (year and model), and we can provide you with better info.
If it's a 325, the only major thing you'll need to worry about is ensuring the timing belt is done at the recommended intervals. That's one of the only maintenance items that won't show any signs of failure until it's too late, and cause some serious damage.
Otherwise the cars are pretty solid overall. Obviously being ~30 years old, they will require maintenance.Comment

Sounds like you have experience with cars and blown engines... why stop the streak now?I only ask because I always seem to hear about the expensive stuff AFTER I purchase. I have a Boxster with 60K and a blown engine, due to a problem everyone else already knew about.
