I keep a fire extinguisher in my m3. The thought of it possibly going up in flames makes me sick, I need to make some sort of bracket for it though.

FYI, you should lay people down and elevate their legs/feet. Helps keep them from going into shock.

E34's have an optional factory extinguisher that mounts to the front of the driver seat. Might be able to make it fit an e30.

It is mandatory here, need one to pass routine technical inspection and cops can ask you to prove you have one on the street. I have a 2kg extinguisher in the trunk with the rest of the first aid crap.

I have one in the trunk, I bolted the bracket to the top of the plastic battery cover.

I researched this a year or so ago when I was looking to get a bottle in my 4Runner. Look up Halguard. They're not cheap, but they're formulated to put out the types of fires you'll come across on a vehicle without damaging electronics. It's also safe to spray on yourself if you're stuck in the vehicle. I keep it bolted to the passenger side of the transmission tunnel, next to the passenger's feet. I don't have one in my E30 yet, but it's on the list.

I don't have one currently but will soon. On a side note a couple years ago my friend and I came upon a recent accident. We were there before any emergency personnel arrived and we had to get a woman out of the car which was smoking heavily. We brought her to the side of the road. Soon a single cop arrived in his squad car and he pulled out an extinguisher because the car was now starting to burn. The extinguisher ddidn't work so I told him to let me try but sure enough it failed to work and then the car was completely engulfed in flames. I guess the take away is have a WORKING extinguisher because you never know.

I've got a 1KG one. It said CAMS approved on the box, so it would have to be the right type for automotive fires. I really need to mount it properly though. It sits under the passenger seat at the moment but my passenger is sick of it hitting their legs.

My dad carries a small chemical one behind his seat in the MGA.

I really should get one for the E30. Easy way to alleviate a regret.

Keep one in my pass side in front of the seat mounting points. One of my e30's caught fire from te fuel pump. Never roll without one.

Got this one at Wal-Mart. Mounted it to my drivers seat. It's a B and C extinguisher. But I really should invest in an A B C extinguisher. Don't mind the dirty floor, haven't had time to clean it out lately...

That's exactly where mines mounted. IMO most accessible place possible.
