I've owned a few E30s, and usually check around local classifieds for deals that may pop up. I decided to check out the province over.. (Yes Im Canadian and yes they're called provinces here hehe) and managed to find a rust free E30 with an S52 swap. Now I currently have a project, but my future goal was to get an S52 in.. and my chassis isnt completely rust free.
It is a 1991 318is Coupe in DiamantSchwarz Metallic, completely rust free with great paint. Racing Dynamics Rear apron, side skirts and an M TECH 2 Front valance. The big thing that caught my eye though was the S52 Swap, which he had a shop do for $7000 and many new parts installed. He has paperwork for everything done, and even a lot of paperwork from the previous owner. The car isn't 100% perfect though, with little things like No AC or heat.. Speedometer not working.. drivers side lock a little messed up. That stuff I dont really care about tbh, plus who needs a speedometer
But he did tell me that they didnt have space for a clutch fan so they added a second one with a switch on the panel, so when hes in stop n go traffic he switches it on and when hes regularly driving off (due to cold air coming through grille) I found this the only thing to be a little odd/off
Anyway, We talked back and forth a bit for a little while, and I had him settle on $7000 CAD, which is about $6200 US Dollar.
Should I take this thing and just dump/postpone my current project?
Need opinions asap !
