1988 325is with sunk diving boards and clean wheels. Hands down. I still wish I could have picked up my first E30 when it popped back up on my local CL. Fuck, I loved that thing to death. And it was by and far the fastest M20 I'd ever driven. 3 people that drove it thought it was motor swapped. It just sang.Leave a comment:

91 full mtech 2 with accessory hardtop. mine is a 92 770 code appearance group car which is a close second.Leave a comment:

83 323i. Lightweight model. Slick top, euro bumpers.
Or a 1986 325iS. M Tech 1 is always a winner.Leave a comment:

I thought the '88 was only a 325iS with the SETA engine that already had the "i" head?I'd say the SETA '88 325e. There's a lot you can do with it as far as swaps go that cost practically nothing. You can buy them cheaper than an IS but you can do the bumper swap and e-i swap for easily less than a grand. After that you have the higher hp output of the I/IS model but have the nice beefy torque rating of the E which makes it awesome driving around town.Leave a comment:

IMO, the one to get is an 89 325is, followed closely by an '88 325is. 90+ E30s have airbags which knocks them down a few points in my book.Leave a comment:
