Who wants to hear an I6 rev to 20,000RPM?

    You do. Yes you.

Perfection, one hundred percent, ten out of ten—that’s what utter domination looks like, and it also happens to be Honda’s 1966 250cc motorcycle World Championship Series record. With GP racing great Mike Hailwood in the saddle of the incredible RC166, Honda easily secured that year’s rider’s and constructor’s titles,

That's 260 naturally aspirated horsepower per liter. In 1966. Let that sink in....

I love everything about this motor, and I hope this is the Honda that shows up in F1 next year.

Man that thing is brutal! I would be scared to rev that thing, just because of accidentally going past the redline.

love that sound you can defiantly hear the characteristic rasp that all straight 6 have but with a more F1 sounding urgency too it. There is just something magical about I6 working at high RPM

I think what I really like about it is the complete devotion to doing what works best. Barrel-shaped camshafts, a 13-piece crankshaft, roller bearings everywhere... It's cool to see zero compromises in the production of an engine.

I mean, oil passages you can only see with x-rays!

Honda used to be absolutely amazing. Lots of this technology found it's way into the S600, including a chain drive :)

They played around with oval cylinders, too, much later.

Neat stuff. I'd drive an S800 in a heartbeat. Even around here.
