    The sorta good craigslist find.

So I just got into E30s. Been in the German scene for about two decades and cut my teeth on mk1 VWs but recently I have fallen head over heals in love with some e30s. Craigslist netted me a a nice little 89 325i for 850 and then I bought a wrecked 88 from the same guy for parts(mostly gutted already) for another 200.

Then a week ago I get a text from a friend linking me to an 89 4 hours away.

Bad up front... BIG TIME blown head gasket. Starts up but will overheat in about one mile of driving. Car has been smoked in and used and abused as a daily driver but her list of aftermarket parts is insane.

    - Nardi Torino steering wheel with adapter
    - Excellent Recaros with correct adapters. Bad baskets though. Easy fix
    - unknown short shifter
    - carbon decklid
    - bilstein/spax
    - strut bar
    - 3.73 LSD with a poly disc
    - aftermarket sway bar with rose joints and beefed up braces
    - Scorpion staintless cat-back exhaust
    - Dinan chip
    - mishimoto radiator
    - mishimoto silicone hose kit
    - malpassi FPR
    - ported/polished and cammed
    - euro grill
    - the wheels however are chinese and already on craigslist. Can't have that shit on my car.

There are probably a few other goodies but that's the main list. Let me just say I sent the money ASAP! Reason....because it was only $1500 with a clean title

So yeah...I'm a lucky motherfucker and I know it. Thank you german car gods! And thanks to my friend for pointing it out!!!!

    1500 is a good price.

    Recaro seats are sharp.

I was expecting Hartge/Alpina/ACS/HK type lotto find.

Drive it hard. Maintain it well.

Saw a similar car on CL a couple of months ago. It had pristine Vaders, running M20, Euro grills, VDO gauges, Mtech 1 spoiler, and some Euro weaves. I wanted to pick it up, but I just got a ix drive train the week before and funds were limited.

Anyways its a great looking buy!!! Congrats!!!

Dogze cannot sell his. But I dig the seats. I wouldn't give them up for 500.

Nice find overal. It's like a scratch off lotto win...not the megaball lotto win.

I thought this was a good CL find. Brand new engine. Saw it within the hour, but was second in line....
