    BMR "Bavarian Recyclers" so unhelpful

these guys have got to be the most unhelpful group of idiots out there. "i need a door for a 2 door e30, in lachsilber metallic"---"uhhh whats that, what year, 318? 325?" Lmao you fucktards they are all the same.

i call them today to ask about a drivers door, passengers mirror, and a shift knob.

    1. they dont guarantee color
    2. they want to be paid the same price even if they ship me a completely color door.
    3. the mirror is the same way, dont guarantee color
    4. they wanted MORE for a shift knob than i can get one from pelican for.

if i wanted a non-guaranteed color door i'd go to pick n pull and get one for $55 bucks. they wanted $175 and it still wasnt going to be the right color.
wtf is wrong with this world when you cant offer good customer service and rip people on 20 year old car parts.

they are not all the same.. there are early/late style doors, windows, regulators and motors, and it's entirely possible that the 318 and 325 use different parts. who's the fucktard?

I 2nd their shittyness. I ordered a bumper from them in early april. Paid for it same day. Called a couple times and was told it was in quality control. Last week I finally got it out of a guy that the one bumper they had didnt pass quality control 3 weeks prior. And they had no others. I had talked to them twice since they knew thay didnt have my bumper and they didnt tell me. so 6 weeks after I thought my search was over, it started again. Customer service Sucked! I'm never using them again! If I hadnt have called they would have just kept my money. I had to ask for it back since they didnt have a product to ship! Fuc*tards!

I waited 4 months last year for a differential from them. I called them and was told that it was "on the shelf and ready to ship" so i paid for it up front and was told to expect it in 5 days max. I called back 3 weeks later curious as to where my diff was and they told me that the one they sold me was bad, but that they had over 1000 cars they were parting out and they would have another differential right away.
I patiently waited 4 months before I asked for a refund. I told Nelson how unhappy I was with the situation and he gave me a $100 credit (they did something right) and told me that the visa charge would be reversed. I ended up having to file a claim with visa since the refund never went through.

              Grrr.

I've also had very bad experiences with them.

Was looking for a diff, they said they would track one down for me and call me back, 2 weeks later nothing, called them and they claimed they could not find one.

Called again about a simple replacement Getrag for a 6cylinder E30, they wanted some insane price for it, plus core, plus shipping it ended up being 3 times what my local yard wanted for a 6 month warrantied transmission.

I cannot see how they stay in business

I was interested in buying something from them. If a part is clearly pictured in their website, in the color I want, that's still no guarantee? That's lame.

                    Junk Yard Dogs.

I just wanted to say a few words of explanation about the salvage business. You have to sell parts for all cars. Hence the 20 questions about year, make, model, 2 Dr, 4Dr, etc. The part then has an "interchange" number that relates it to all like parts in inventory. The inventory is computerized and the color of body parts is not part of the interchange information. Body parts are sold for repair of collision damage and it is assumed that the damaged and adjoining panels will be repainted for color matching. To check several networks for a part in the local area or 3-4 state region takes a few hours at most. Larger yards monitor the hot lines constantly and smaller ones every hour or so.
Get to know the closest yard that has a bunch of BMW's. If they don't have it they will check the hot lines for you. A lot sponsor race cars, usually short track stock cars
Better yet check car-part.com like thejimlab suggests. A lot of the donor cars have color info.

Just use Joel or Nick at EuroDepot in Concord, NH. I buy everything through them, and I don't even think about using anyone else

I wouldn'd know if they were idiots or not...I'm still waiting for them to respond to my e-mail from 3 months ago and they never answered the phone. Not a company I'll ever use.
