When I replace parts unnecessarily I do try to give away the still good bits like wipers, air filters and tires to other E30 owners who need them. As there is always the person who is just starting out and maybe can't swing quick replacements under their budgets (most of us have been there).

That's a good idea. I think I still have a couple laying around.

You should collect all of the used timing belts and make the worlds longest belt. Which isn't a record that I've ever heard of.

            ....until it breaks.....

            ....and the world stops....

            ....and we all die.

I check the easy maintenance items on the first visit as a prospective buyer. It gives a clear indication of how the car has been maintained and cared for.

Then the official pre-purchase inspection if I am serious about the car. The best $100 you will spend on a potential new used car is the PPI.

I put leaves in the my Toyota pickup's airbox. Depending on what type of leaves, Ive seen anywhere from a 25-200hp gain. make sure the leaves are soggy before you put them in, it helps lubricate the upper cylinders.

I was going to try this but wasn't sure what sort of liquid to use to get the leaves soggy - will just regular tap water work?
