    $25K 318is on eBay

Current owner seems to be an enthusiast and perhaps on the pipe... or maybe not.

Complete head rebuild. Removed, planed and new gasket on a 38k mile car ? Does look nice though....

i think 8-9k is pushing it. after a while, it gets annoying watching people attemping to "knock a home run out of the park".

M42 cars had issues with the original profile gasket failing. Most failed while under warranty and were replaced with a newer version from the e36 cars. This one obviously was never driven far enough to fail, until recently. Its a head removal job.

^^ This. I had my profile gasket fail when I rebuilt my m42. There is a way to do it without taking the head off but it's not worth the frustration.

It's a beautiful car, but I think (even with today's crack pipe prices) $12k is a more reasonable number.

"Poor man's M3" doesn't warrant the price for 25 stacks. Crack pipe for sure.

you can still get m3s for 25k in nice shape, just not on r3v or where people know too much. but i know a several guys this year that paid less than 10k for theirs.
