Just a comment, completely innocent, not trying to be an ass.
You know you're on Rev limited when you got trashed so quickly. I read your disclaimer before I did anything. Don't see how I was annoying. But thanks for help anyways. Sorry for wasting your time.

Yeah, he doesn't know better. New to the site if you didn't notice.
Aaron. how far back will your VIN coder go?
Will it work on BMWs from the 60s and 70s. The 1969- 2002 is a baur. If it does it will be interesting what it says. Since I wrote to Baur and got the original bill of sale on the car. So I know its original color and options.
Plus I have a 86 323 baur e30
The Alpina wont arrive till next week. its a e21 Baur- Alpina.
Ill have to go out to the garage and write down all the Vin #s.
It seems to stop giving info around 1983-84 - anything earlier and it isn't in the database. The 86 Baur should work - 50/50 on the 83 Alpina because it may be too old, or since technically the Alpina is a different manufacturer, it may not be in the BMW database.
E36's are the Stephen Baldwin of the 3 series family. They barely hold everything together and they only sold a lot because of the popularity of their older sibling.
1991 318i Alpine II - S50/5-lug swapped - track car
1989 325i Cirrusblau - Daily
1970 2500 - Malaga over Grey Cloth
2012 F350 6.7PSD
OK Aaron
The Baur is actually a 85. WBAAA710909161318
Il get the 69 2002 Baur one later to see if it works. Just for kicks. Or i guess it cant deal with the old 7 didget vins, ehh. That just came to mind re older cars and shorter Vins. If you want I can send it over.. let me know
Trying to find out if this is really an M-technic '94 325is. I've checked with the dealer and BMW usa but they couldn't tell me. I hope you can help, I've been looking for one for a while and this is local. Vin is WBABF3325REF45018 Thanks for your help!! John
Post note. I finally got an email back from BMW with the option list. The car was not an Mtech, just another wannabe.
Hey aaron! I would appreciate if you could help me out here and run two vin numbers for me. Thanks in advance! -Alex
