Aaron. how far back will your VIN coder go?
Will it work on BMWs from the 60s and 70s. The 1969- 2002 is a baur. If it does it will be interesting what it says. Since I wrote to Baur and got the original bill of sale on the car. So I know its original color and options.

Plus I have a 86 323 baur e30

The Alpina wont arrive till next week. its a e21 Baur- Alpina.

Ill have to go out to the garage and write down all the Vin #s.

It seems to stop giving info around 1983-84 - anything earlier and it isn't in the database. The 86 Baur should work - 50/50 on the 83 Alpina because it may be too old, or since technically the Alpina is a different manufacturer, it may not be in the BMW database.

Thanks for doing this man. The car you tried earlier was an '83 Schnitzer S5, so I'm not surprised that nothing came up.

Il get the 69 2002 Baur one later to see if it works. Just for kicks. Or i guess it cant deal with the old 7 didget vins, ehh. That just came to mind re older cars and shorter Vins. If you want I can send it over.. let me know
