how far do the ix flares protrude? I'm thinking about getting some wide wheels but I want real meat on there

they come down a bit in the front, but in the back they sit pretty much flush with the fender lips - if you're thinking of using them for wider tires, it won't work (in fact you'll actually need to trim some of the flare away to roll the fenders).
