Trust me... I am mad as hell right now... I will hopefully get some satisfaction in court. Today I paid $400 towing and storage, so going after that in small claims court, also going to ask $3,000 for damages to my car (Total loss). $3,400 total plus court costs of around $50. The limit on small claims in NC is $5,000. Hell Im tempted to go for it all, but I just want justice, Im not out to rip anyone off, just get what is rightfully mine!

I think the mental anguish over losing my car is worth $5k alone, there are NOOOO E30's around Charlotte area it seems, only poor examples of them for sale and I do not want a money pit. I just sold my 2001 325ci and purchased a 2006 325ci, the E92's looks have not appealed to me yet, the E30 is timeless, hell I loved to drive that car more than the E46. I just want justice for my case, I'm not seeking to rip anyone a new one, but heck, who knows I might ask for more than $3k for the car. I'm going to have the BMW dealer tell me how much they would sell my car for if it was on their used lot and go for that probably. I just purchased the 2006 from them so hopefully they will write me up something nice I can take to small claims court and present as proof my car is still desirable and valued more so than the blue book.

Sorry to hear about your loss and frustration. Re: e30s in Charlotte, talk to the guys over at Touring Car (704.821.7023) they see all kinds of BMWs everyday. They might have something for ya

            Good luck

I also learned the hard way that you should never listen or take advise from other drivers. When i was 16 and was able to drive by myself I was motioned out and pulled out and got hit it was my fault plain and simple. I had construction trucks blocking my view and took the word of another driver and pulled out and got hit. the only reason i could see that they would be able to blame it on you is if you were speeding, but doubt that since you were in the turn lane about to turn.

sorry your car got messed up. hope everything goes well and you are driving around in a new e30 or get the current one fixed.

                hey

Hey the speed of impact was not great at all, just the way he hit me in a Toyota Avalon was perfectly placed enough to mess my car up bad. HE will have a lawyer no doubt in small claims court.. I'll represent myself because I'd lose more money in attorney fee's Im sure, I cant afford it... Im just afraid to lose it all ): The car has suspension damage in the front, I know it'd never be the same again, as much as I hate to say it, it will be sold to an individual for parts or repair, or sold to a scrap yard.
