    Rescuing a touring

Well I did it, I bought my second e30. It's a 1988 325ix touring 5spd. I first saw this car exactly 1 year ago when I purchased my 325e coupe. The previous owner of my eta picked up this damaged touring and was planning to bring it back life. Many e30's later it's still sitting in his barn begging to get back on the road.

It was imported by a gentlemen in Montreal. He put some billy's and some sort of springs in it, some borbets and drove it. The car was then involved in a rear ending. The owner sent it to a shop for a new rad, hoses and not quite sure what else....he then sold it to my friend where it's been sitting in his barn missing some of the euro bits with a multi coloured front end.

The resurrection will begin next week and likely last most of the summer. Some of you are going to hate me for this but yes I plan on winter driving it. Mechanically it's pretty sound, sitting around 200k Km's, it needs some brake and exhaust work and lots of little e30 things. I'm hoping to contact the shop that did the front end work to see exactly what else they did.

How it looked when my friend got a hold of it.

And how it's looking now...we have sourced some red front end parts for it. Shout out to mr.burns for finding some matching sport seats for it.

Cool! I like the idea of winter driving, it's what it's designed for!

If you drive that in Canadian winters, you're gonna be rescuing it again in a few years.

                          Lol, I just noticed it.

Tbh, as much as I like symmetry with cars, I actually like that one smiley and one bullseye ellipsoid look.

Muffler will be going asap. I'll be rocking the basket weaves with winter tires on it. I have not had the opportunity to check the transfer case yet, call me crazy, I bought it anyways.
