Why does everyone want to fight? Damn. It's just an opinion. Cool that you got the car you want but the value of it is max 8k. I just dont understand it, but it's your money so congratulations on getting what you want.

It's value was what he paid for it. And he is happy with his purchase.

Thanks for the kind words guys !!

As for the price, E30's will never be cheaper than they are today. The bottom long ago dropped out for these cars. Nice ones will continue to go up in value, and if they go the way of air cooled 911's (at least some of that is very likely!!) 150k mile examples that are relatively well-kept will be going for $12k.

Price is subjective; they're not all worth this kind of money to all people... but demand certainly outweighs supply... they just aren't making them anymore and won't ever again.

          Thanks guys!!

I'm not upset. You are entitled to your opinion.

However, I will buy every single E30 318iS that you show me that is this clean or 90% this clean for $8,000, and --- I will pay you a $1,000 finder fee if you lead me to one like this for that matter. And I'm dead serious.

Value is whatever someone is willing to pay.

Congrats on the purchase! Gotta be a great feeling driving that time capsule!

Look like a prime candidate for some JOMS, XXR wheels and a Volvo lip.

It may have been expensive, but can anyone show us a nicer original example? There are plenty of e30's out there, but only a handful, if not one in this category. Congratulations and be a good caretaker.

Awesome. Glad you got her home safely. Post some more pics of that interior! And make sure the lens on your camera/cell phone is clean, these look cloudy! It's not doing the car justice, i'm sure.

                        Enjoy.

EAG caters to a specific kind of customer- the "non fixer upper" clientele that is willing to pay a premium for a low-mileage, near-showroom condition automobile that they have gone out of their way to find and fix, so that you don't have to. Sure, I can browse CL and BaT all day long, for weeks, months, years at a time for a <$15k, low mileage perfect E30. Or you can just go on EAG.

The logic is simple, and the shit posts are completely unnecessary.

Great car, beautifully written post. I especially empathize with the piece where the E30 doesn't feel like a 20+ year old car, its truly remarkable in that aspect.

Now, what I am most interested in is photos of your 1971 E-Type.

Congratulations on the purchase, Royal. Sounds like you have a lot of fun ahead of you! :) I can definitely appreciate the dedication to originality, especially for an example like yours. You get bonus points for having an XKE too! And for this:
