Another game of what's it worth.. 1989 325ix time capsule: 31k miles

I have an opportunity to buy a pristine 89 325ix with 31k miles. Alpine white, Non sport, manual sunroof, timing belts and all maintenance done. Do you think such an example would be worth $11k? It's pretty much perfect. It was a car used at a vacation home and was driven just a couple times a year all the way up to recently.

Is 11k fair market value for such an example?

For a 5-speed, yes, imo. Auto, probably 8-ish.

WOW. pretty cool. Will be interesting to see since one member just paid in the 20s for a low mileage E30.

31k miles? I'd say closer to 12k given the current e30 market prices

Depends on if all the timing belts were done.

A pristine iX with low miles like that? Yeah, it'll sell for $11k

Yes, it's definitely worth that. Tow it out of there if you can't verify the timing belt.

pfft, you do realize a 325is in Cali with about 150k miles recently sold on ebay for the mid to high teens right?

For this one I'd say easy thirdy-kay.

Wow. Id say high teens at least given the market.

I dunno. How much could the gearbox affect the price?

The timing belt was done. It's been sitting at a BMW Indy for 3 years. It's cherry, drives great. The only thing it needs is a passenger window regulator.

it would be very difficult to find a manual trans and manual transfer case that matched the condition of the car. It's hard to find a 5-speed swap for an ix let alone one with a decent t-case

I feel like it could go from a low 8k to a high 15k, but that depends on the market. Maybe you could haggle him down to 9-10?

if i had 11k to spend on an e30, i'd pick it up definitely. that body has to be completely rust free.
