    Found some E30 M3 DTM last iteration trailing arm replicas.

    Not cheap at 3500 pounds but weighing in at only 3kg!!!! holy shit...

        Considering I can't read French and the pics are microscopic, I don't even know what I'm looking at. Buy suffice to say you could build your own identical tube trailing arms for 10% of what they're charging.

            If you can get the measurements it wouldn't be hard to make a jig to mass produce these on your own.

              yes, you could but you would then have to worry about liability issues. don't get me wrong, i have no plans to spend 4k on trailing arms for my e30. you would always be asking yourself if your welder's welds good enough?

                that's probably why they are so expensive. qualified welders aren't cheap.

                  Actually, they kinda are. Going rate for a welder around here is $25-30 an hour.

                  People tend to think welding is this super difficult task when it really isn't. A few weeks of schooling and you are a certified welder.

                    Please, there's certified welders and there's welders I'd actually trust to make me suspension components. The ladder are harder to find.

                      ^That's what i mean. I don't mean a guy can lay a nice looking bead. We put structural welders through the ringer.
