The Incident happened at the north-west corner of the Ottawa airport, behind the Anytime Fitness. I live near there so I went and checked it out, there's lot's of room.

Yes, it's behind the T&T. Is that really where BMWs meet on Fridays?
Jalopi, it's not Trina level sleuthing, just luck. I just recognized the hangars in the background. I've worked at that end of the the airport on and off since 1979.

After I took that shot I backed way off to take one that would show the vast vastness of the lot. There was a Corolla parked sideways across three spots waaay in the back, all alone. I was going to smash his mirrors off but I changed my mind because the guy was coming back to his car and he was going pretty briskly for a guy with a walker.

Okay well scratch what I said about parking in the end spot close to the curb. Looks like some blue donation box is there.

That end of the lot is most convenient for the gym, and a guy would want to park there because, geez, who wants to walk too far to the gym?
                          There are other spots available.

The only post worth quoting in that entire thread:
Award: The most chi draining thread of the year.

Everyone should just let it go, including all members

Don, you made a mistake. I would have demolished his car, then denied ever touching it. But that's the old me.

The new me, would let it go. Move on and focus on putting more stamps in my pocket and more smiles on my face. That's where we all progress as a whole.

You've got every member up in arms, spending time researching your old threads to throw them in your face. Everyone is scolding you and pretty much banishing you from this forum.

We all make mistakes, you did and you fessed up right away. You admitted fault, recognized your shortcoming and will hopefully grow from it. I think the members are being rough on you.

This same thing happened to me a month or so ago. I parked my GTI on the white line. The car to the left of me forced me to do it. When I returned to the car, there was another POS buick parked 1" from the passenger side. The driver of the buick was mad that I parked on the line so he thought he would teach me a lesson and slam his door into my GTI. Well, turned out to be $600 in damages as estimated by his insurance company. Long story short, his insurance didn't cover it as he denied doing it and there were no witnesses. I moved on and lived with the dent. Was I happy about it? No! Funny thing about that, is that Karma has probably already paid him back and he doesn't know why. I took that car to Carmax last week and they didn't ding me for the dent when I sold them the car. Now I've got a brand new Q in the driveway as my good karma.

To all the other members, everyone makes mistakes. OP got heated, did the damage and admitted fault so give your fellow BMW member a break. No need to rehash old threads or insult the member. That's just a little bit too much.

Your energy is limited, spend it wisely, you will be rewarded for it.

                              Have a great day!

the thing I always liked about the E30, is it's so small that the parking space for a typical Dodge Ram turbodiesel pickup truck with a lift kit and 4" exhaust stacks gives my E30 at least 2-3ft on either side clear to the car next to me. Which makes double parking pretty pointless.

I've gotten door dings at work though, which is really annoying, since everyone there knows who I am and knows which car is mine...
