    Track Car Prepping

Hey guys, I have an 89 325is and I'm pretty set on tracking on it. Basically, I know POWERRRRRR isn't the priority with these builds, so let's start with the basics. Which brakes would be best for track days and would there be there drawbacks for them during normal everyday use?
Also, same for tires and suspension, what do you recommend? Something sticky but still road legal for the tires. As for the suspension, keep in mind that this car WILL NOT be daily driven but it will be driven to shows, meets, and some weekends just for fun. Thanks!

    For the brakes, read this:

Suspension depends on your budget. The most common solution is to run H&R Race springs with Bilstein Sport dampers.

For tires, take your pick of the 200 tread wear offerings. Falken Azenis are my preference.

Ha. I was going to say PFC 08's, but that thread says it all over.

Also, get air to the inside of the front rotors.

Then go find some good instructors and get some seat time, and you'll figure
      out what you want first.
My recommendation over the years always seems to be 'front camber', but your
      mileage may vary.

now, sometimes I just mess with people. It's more entertaining that way. george graves

I posted in the referenced thread, but I'll post the same here: rebuild you calipers (or buy new if you feel lazy/hate dealing with brake fluid). It is amazing how nasty the fluid gets inside the caliper and you cannot just bleed it out.

Also, PFC 08's are amazing, but they are incredibly dusty.

The Rival S? Were they markedly better than the R-S3s?
