Anybody know how to remove this?

I'm getting ready to send all of my trim pieces off to get powder coated, I have all of the trim off (un-bent thank god) but the lower piece on the rear pop out window. I took the window off and it looks like the chrome piece is riveted to the frame. Anybody know how to get these off?

If I remember right, you have to drill the rivets and then slowly pull everything apart.

Do you know what size rivets these are?

drill them out and measure the hole. you can buy rivets based on the hole size and material thickness at mcmaster.com

          Looks like 1/8" to me.

BMW seemed to like to rivet the pop- outs. The 2002's rear chrome was rivetted in place, too.

The ti solves that problem by not having any trim.

Yes, you drill it. If you use a 1/8" bit, you can then use a 1/8" rivet when you reinstall it.

I've done this several times and there most definitely is some type of adhesive, in my experience its been a very sticky epoxy like glue and over time it becomes very dry and almost impossible to get off in some cases. Just work it from the edges, id recommend paint thinner, a thin flat head and vice grips. Good luck!
