    E30 M3 to E30 non M compatibility

    Hey guys,

I am wondering what M3 E30 parts can be cross over with non M ('91 318is)

Specifically, I am wondering if a E30M trunk/spoiler can be swapped without issues as it seems that it was look pretty slick without the wide rear end.

Primary my question pertains to exterior and styling parts as the rest of the car is mostly E36/E28.

    Thanks!

Front fenders and doors, front and rear bumper thats about it. People have done wide bodies, but the rear C-pillar and trunk are a whole different game. You'd need to get a M3 donor car and cut the C-pillar out and transplant it onto the 318is. IMO its not worth it, but would be cool.

Anything is possible with enough money/work. They sell fiberglass C pillar caps as well. It has been done and looks decent but not worth the trouble IMO.

Very interesting, thanks for the info!

I'm thinking maybe only doing the front M fenders but I think that might look a bit weird without the rear..

I think with the C-Pillar issue, I would be more than satisfied with something like this..

*bonus points if you can identify what tail lights these are? or are they basic stock with tint?

They look like MHW tails to me.

MHW tails. Very rare, very expensive.

You are likely better off finding a zender spoiler, or a aftermarket fiberglass replica spoiler for non-ms.

Well, with enough welding and panel beating the M's windscreen is bolt on (glue on)

                  :)
