    Finally got her back!!!

    Hey everyone,
So I finally got the car back from the garage! Project Drop-top E30 M3 is now in full swing! The S50 motor makes the car an absolute animal to drive, and I have started to put the e30 M3 body panels and bumpers on the car. I know I don't have any pictures yet (I've been to busy driving the car all weekend :D ) but I will try to post some pics tomorrow! The motor came out of a car with 58K on it and the euro-depot did a fantastic job with the swap and the e30 M3 5 lug swap! I couldn't have asked for a better job! I'll post some pics tomorrow!

I'm from Rhode Island, The project started back in december when I bought a 1990 325iC that was in good condition. I wanted to make it one of a kind so I decided on the e30 M3 body and a S50 motor swap. Here are some pics of the car as it was when I bought it and now just before the bodywork begins. I will try to post some pics as the bodywork progresses. Let me know what you think?

          Thanks,
          Ryan

looks good. I like the style 5s.

I think you should raise the back a little. maybe spring pads?

Why did you put the motor in before you painted it?? Seems to me like you could freshened up the engine bay for free? Sweet car anyway.

                    thanks
I would have painted the engine bay but it really didn't need it and I am going to be staying with the stock color (alpine white II) so I decided against it. It will be going into a buddy's bodyshop early next week for the final transformation. The interior is the next project, I am going to have the seats recovered in Black leather and I have to wait until its painted to install the new black carpet set. I think it should be done in about a month or so!

As for the height of the rear? The stock fenders still haven't been cut yet so the e30 m3 rear quarters are just held on with tape right now. The wheel arch needs to be cut out about 2 inches. The wheels are original BBS RS1's too, they are just a little different than the style 5's.

Thanks for all the great comments
