    Seat brackets?

So my seat wont stay in its position (aka slides freely forward and backwards). Is there a simple solution to this or do I need a whole new assembly for the bottom?

I posted this hear cause noone reads the subforums and Ive got to drive a ways tomorrow.

You're a tall kid - just set it all the way back and leave it?

Dunno man - you'd have to remove the seat and see what's what under there. Only 4 17mm's to take out - worth a shot. Call me if you need help over the phone.

Ive had the same problem. The little lever that unlocks both sides of the brackets is stuck in the open position. you gotta get under it and look at the mechnisms. it is a hundred times easier to jsut take the seat out and bend the metal parts back to original shape. its not hard jsut awkward if you dont take the seats out.

You may need to use zip ties to hold them in place for a quick fix for they get loose when they get old. But you should really order new ones.

So I was a lazy bastard and just took my sisters jeep today instead but I think tomorrow Ill just jury rig something up if I cant fix it. Ill just put it in a position I think is comfy and let it be. If someone else drives my car and has a problem they can deal.
