    Just my luck

So this happened.... Reweld or new? Suggestions please. On a somewhat tight budget.

If reweld, I would suggest that you use a new metal pipe. The one you have is so thin and corroded. Any weld would not last long.

Wow that's the worst luck ever. Time to straight pipe it.

        How is it "luck"?

Parts corrode and rot away. SHOCKER i know but once in a while you do actually have to spend $$ to keep a 25 year old car on the road.

          You hear that?

That's the sound of a straight pipe calling.

Straight pipe in California, not really an option.

little hard to tell but the thickness of the metal seems fine. too me it looks like it just cracked from stress not rust. Id just reweld it.

Any muffler shop will reweld that for like $20.

Mine has broken there three times now. I've gotten it rewelded each time for pretty cheap. One time I got it welded for free after I just brought just the exhaust to a local shop.
