I was wondering what the most popular BMW production engine swaps are in numbers among our community.

**BEFORE YOU VOTE, read this:
This is not what YOU think, it is what you personally have swapped to CURRENTLY.

I am not counting the m10/m20/m42 since it is a production engine. I am also not counting FI applications.

**I removed the old one because I screwed up some production engines in the wrong era IE: Placing m50 based with M54. Cannot reset poll so I made a new one**

ok, on a serious note, i might suggest that you make the first couple choices as m50/m52 and s50/s52. i think that would paint a better picture of whether member's e30's are swapped with "m" engines or "s" engines.

I removed a few of the rare swaps and I think that will be better, kinda hard when you're only allowed 10 spots. I'm sure some people will bitch about the layout

Not a swap...so I did not think they belonged here. Plus the whole m20 VS m42 has been beaten to death already. Never seen a swap census here, so figured it would be good to gauge numbers after a year of people voting. I stuck the thread so it can gain traffic and gauge a better idea in the long run.

It will be m50 or M30, I think m50 will take it though.

Oh, i meant hooray for removing stock engines and putting in bigger stuff. But I agree with you, based on the swapped e30s I see every year at Vintage, I think the m5x will win.

I would have thought the m30 to have been swapped before the m50 since it has been around way before the e21. I do agree it is the easiest swap.

You should put "Other" for all those weird swaps and have people post what it is when they choose that. For all the weird rotary and SR20 swaps lol
