It's fine if you started your discussion off as 'where do you guys look to find cheap cars'. That's general advice/strategy talk.

You came in here and asked 'where do you pick up hot slutty girls that like broke car junkies' - bro if people know they aren't sharing.

I got one, its in my shop not barn, sorry cant sell it, had a local BMW mechanic come look at it last year, said he'd give me 5K, said that's funny, that's what I paid for it in 1999, not a chance,

its not pretty, but it's basically built as a EVO II, just got to start to paint it, which will be in 32 days, mine I'm keeping it,

Dad sold his 57 XK140 in the 70's for $700, I'll never make that mistake!!!

no one on this forum would give out the location of a barn find m3.

I have literally dreamed of finding an m3. When I woke up I nearly cried.

Well then I worded the question wrong, what locations do people usually have classic cars for sale. Some areas are slim to none and some places have more. Obviously you guys are said to "network" but saying childish comments on a random forum isn't "networking." Once you guys grow up and mature then you guys can realize that the question was worded bad. There was an M3 shell project on sale for 4,500 on eBay close by , I just didn't have the money to get it then. Yeah asking for where the most sought out treasure location is ridiculous but saying I should get "banned" for a question is childish. This is a forum, if you guys want to bash me on a question whatever. It's not like I'm hurting from it. But actual tips on areas known for selling classics like Impalas, Chevys , etc would help. If you guys want to be immature go and get a group chat going privately, I'm just trying to get actual help from honest people not immature people on a forum trying to bash someone on the INTERNET who worded the question wrong.

OP, I don't think anyone's really hating you here. You posted a ridiculous question that makes you look like a troll, so everyone's playing and having fun.

Srsly, your best bet is local craigslist/kijiji. Especially those cities below the salt belt. I see so many more older cars for sale in SF Bay area craigslist, compared to northeast side of the continent. Key is to look at the listings every day as good deals are snagged up pretty quickly. You can also look at bringatrailer.com for daily feed of older/classic cars for sale.
