Fuck me, I'm about to buy yet another e30.
Is this a logical and wise move? (Likely no.)
Planning to daily it in Colorado, kick my current daily 01 Malibu out the door, ...the Malibu is low miles, I know the issues, its "reliable"... Should I really do this?
Looking at a 89 325ic... Just shy of 200k on the clock, basically double the current miles on my daily Malibu, which I loath. I detest it, but in a useful way,... like I don't give a shit if its there when I get back to its parking spot, door dings on the malibu do not bother me. Its a freeing feeling.
I should be able to financially break even after a few "new because i just bought it" parts to assure it will be ready to daily. Am I going to severely regret switching to this convertible during the winter? One of my biggest grips with the Malibu besides the whole ignition switch ordeal is that the malibu's heater sort of sucks compared to a normal e30. Is the vert top going to negate the awesomeness of e30 heaters?
Of course the actually driving experience will be it's own topic and isn't much to debate... But I have a feeling I may be just about to either do something really stupid or it is taking a huge risk that might pan out and I will be extremely happy with... Its a tough call.
I buy it at 9am MDT unless I come to my senses before then... But fuck me, I can't sleep.
