Why would youwant to delete the vanos? Why not just hook everything up stock with a stock ecu and just delete ews and a few smog features?
Because if a sensor goes bad I want to be able to be able to replace it cheaply and quickly. Most aftermarket ecu's I've seen use gm stuff that is readily available and cheap.
I've had this discussion before on another thread and I always get flamed for wanting to delete vanos. But my argument is that its one less thing that can go wrong. The slight loss in low end torque will be hardly noticeable in a light e30. Especially if you but some real fkng gear behind it, like a 4.10 or 3.73. And God. The sound of a cammed s54. Need I say more?

Early Euro 325ix convertible in zobelbraun, with Hartge stripes/valences/wheels with a black houndstooth interior. M30 power with a 5 speed dogleg sport gearbox of course.
what is this strange beast? who made it? is it some strange bastard-child from M3 and Alpina?
this one appears to be a somewhat half assed knock off of an alpina b6 3.5s. they built 62 copies. the biggest difference was the engine which was an alpina modified m30. all came with a dogleg getrag.

I just wanna what some people like these days if money was no issue..
Tell me your swaps, paint, wheels, etc.. post pictures as well!
Pretty much like the one I'm building now, but with 2,3 M10 with +8000rpm, Volk wheels, a custom gear set for the sport Getrag and carbon fiber/titanium everything.
One that starts every time with zero leaks and a rock solid idle!!
Beyond that; a 325IS coupe (or M-tech 2 vert), 16" BBS, freshly built S52 on Ground Controls. If I had an Alpina or some special edition M3 etc., it would be more of an investment and I would be stressed about driving it daily.
Thank god, R3V was getting boring since the ginger kid wrecked his car. - Stonea
