Trip To Welt BMW That Almost Didn't Happen

For our honeymoon we wanted to explore Italy but I figured we could swing by the BMW museum and do a quick stop in Munich to have a beer and see the sights.

Our travel agent set us up to see the museum on Monday, the day we landed in Germany. Long story short the museum is closed on Mondays. Not just the Monday that we were there but EVERY MONDAY! Depression and stress ensued until we figured out that we had a 2 hour window before we departed on Wednesday to view the museum!

The BMW museum is inceredible. I had the opportunity to do a Europe tour back in September and that was a must stop place for us as well. Did you happen to see anyone picking up their brands new cars and they bring them up on the elevator and drive them onto the 360 degree spinning pad for their new owner?

Thanks for all the love! It was a blast. Also, I hit 230km/hr on the autobahn in a 216i (?) turbo diesel 6 speed.

did you get a chance to do the factory tour?

we managed to talk our way into one when I was there, it was really neat.

We didn't make it through the factory. We had to rush through the museum to catch our flight to Venice.

We took the S-Bahn train to the airport but we had no more Euros just credit cards and the ticket machine was asking for a pin number on our cards. We didn't know that so we had to jump on the train with no tickets otherwise we would have missed our flight. 11 stops, 45min total ride. We were so nervous every time someone walked pasted us but nobody checked our tickets. My wife is half Jewish and we now joke that the train ride was the true German experience for a Jew.
