Im glad the friend is fronting the bill, that was my bad for not reading through the thread more to see that. Yes, mistakes happen, its all about how you go about fixing the mistakes. Seems like the friend is taking full responsibility, as he should.

I guess its just frustrating seeing this happen to a car that you know how much time went into.

      mannnnnn.

just now seeing this. bummer for sure.
on the bright side at least you know your friendship is strong. i have some friends that always want to slide my car when we go messing around in the rain, theres a few where i will allow because i know if they fuck shit up they will own up, but i have one friend in particular that is known for fucking up all of our friends cars and not owning up to it, he's the one who bothers me the most asking to drive LOL, and if were not out driving hes saying man e30's are the worst car ever made, drives an E38 LOL.

but hes power shifted our friends s13 and destroyed the TOB and linkage, ruined a friends jack, cross threaded our friends s52 head on the exhaust flange, plenty of shit.
the sad thing is were all afraid to wrench on our own cars with him because he will not be careful, and does not own up to shit, and blames it on the car and the owner for being neglectful.

the other sad thing is hes a tech at BMW and fucks customer cars up on the reg according to our other friend who works with him at BMW, LOL.

I kind of want an E38.

Also, do you guys talk to him about his careless behavior? Some people just need it pointed out. I work with a guy who has come around a lot after a year of me consistently yelling at him for fucking things up due to a lack of attention to detail. Instead of keeping quiet and laughing about it amongst each other, call him out on his bullshit. Make his ass own up to it, most people won't keep up the bullshit if really put on the spot. I get confessions out of people all the time, equipment doesn't lie.

e38's are nice for cruising. i like his.

theres no coming around for him, hes the youngest one in our group of friends, and just loves to argue very angrily, and hes just a total POS when it comes to shit like this.
we have all talked to him about his issues but he doesnt seem to give a shit lol, hes also outstanding on a few balances within our group of friends, in the mean time buys broadway static coilover set up for the e38, and talks about getting an e36 for a drift build LOL.

                Love hate?

It's weird. It's almost bipolar, and the lying and shit is like compulsive. He's room mates with 3 out of our 8 people in this group of friends..... I'm honestly waiting for him to loose his shit and blow up and move out so I can move in, save some $$$$.

Body work has been a minor issue, Im more concerned with the mechanicals. Obviously Im frustrated, but a new set of fenders and you wouldnt really know what happened. I already have another plastic front bumper that will get painted. I think I might finally color match the bumpers and get everything painted white

Doesnt look like it, they already threw on the new control arms and it seems to be heading in the right direction
