My Dad just did a second round of 8k+ damage (between two 1700ers) to the 2005 Passat, I am lobbying hard to have it totaled and it is less than 2 years old and has less than 10k miles.
(I am buying him a bus pass)

The end to the Passat saga is they totaled it, paid off the loan and I ended up with 6k! I got him a 2006 Lincoln LS which had a 47k sticker, for 30k out the door, They are giving them away and it is actually a pretty nice freaking car.
I wish I could get him to do this all day long as I ended up 6k richer and 100 per month lower payment for arguably much more car (it has voice activated nav, stereo etc, side curtain airbags, rear parking assist and a bunch more)Last edited by parkerbink; 09-07-2006, 04:00 PM.

damn, that is no fun. something similar happened to me, though it was not a plantmind you, just a stupid friend. though i didnt hit anyone, i just hit a curb, and messed up a few things. nothing a little tinkering didnt fixComment
