                    Wow. NA, so that's for a specific class? Can you imagine getting 2100hp out of something without a blower? Look at the bottom of the block and the main bearing caps on that thing.

                    When he's talking earlier about Merlin-based big blocks, is he actually talking about the airplane engine? Same dimensions? Or is someone just using the name?

                            I didn't expect to follow a 917 engine, but whatever. We got the rebuilt Twin Cam in the Cortina for last weekend's Lime Rock Historic Festival and I wanna show it off!





                            Couple outside shots for good measure:



                            The similarity in dimensions to a 2002 and E30 continue to amaze me.

                            Fun fact: I ran consistent 1:05s at Lime Rock this year, which was enough to put away an 800hp 1977 NASCAR Olds Cutlass by 8 seconds in the Monday race!

                                Is that engine a Ford block and a Lotus head? I don't know the history of that engine. Plus, it looks like it sits nice and low in the chassis.
