I remember the good old days, last week.
Had to push my car uphill both to work and on the way back.

This deserves a thread?
Try building orders then when payment is due having the customer flake...that's way I take payment in full. Words don't hold value...cash in my hand does.Leave a comment:

I came here expecting someone to be reminiscing about the old days of porn and flame suits. Sorely disappointed. Would not read again.Leave a comment:

If someone tells me they're gonna "come this weekend", 90% of the time they're not coming or they're bullshitting. I ask for a deposit and tell them if it's gone when you get here and I have no deposit, I'm not holding it and too bad.
If they bitch about it I usually know they're not serious. If they say "if it's gone when the weekend comes, it's gone", I know they were never serious.
Not once in my life have I had a buyer who's told me those 2 things show up.
Serious buyers have always left a deposit or worked out a way to get to me sooner.Leave a comment:

you seem a little too salty for someone who only verbally committed to a deal and was then forgotten about.
its not like you sent him money and he shipped your stuff a 1000 miles away from you. and then ignored you and eventually left you no choice but to drive to where they were shipped to pick them up.
cough cough...:rippedoff:simon, a member on here, recently got really fucked on a 300 dollar purchase. that's the ordeal I was describing. he had the right to create a thread, and his actually had a purpose; to call out the seller and get the parts he PAID for.
but you're just kind of crying over someone taking cash instead of your "dibs".
this should've been a post in the nonsense thread, not an entire new thread. I get you're just stating an opinion, but c'mon, let's not waste bandwidth...
OP definitely seems a little too hurt for the attention he is screaming for.
dibs dont mean shit to me. Once a deal is made, you have to follow through, but until money is exchanged
Case in point, I sold some coilovers to a member here and was supposed to deliver them with a friend who was looking to buy a car local to the buyer. HIS deal fell through for the car, but MY deal still needed to be fulfilled so I drove out and dropped them off.
motion to change name of thread and move to OT
new name should be "butthurt thread" and people can go bitch about nonsenseLeave a comment:

As a buyer you have to continue the communication until the sale, he probably "forgot about you" because you stopped talking to him and letting him know you are definitely picking up the parts. As others have said, money talks.
And to judge a whole community based off one transaction between you and one member is unreasonable.Leave a comment:
