What does a real ALPINA look like?

Today i was walking back from my class and saw a Lachssilber 89+ 325is. It looked mostly like a stock 325is except it was lowered, had 16" or 17" alpina rims, some sort of exhaust, and a "ALPINA" badge on the left side of the decklid. I'm pretty sure it wasn't real because it looked mostly stock except for those few parts, but i'm not too sure what a real alpina looks like. Someone tell me if it's real or not...

Real or not it was a very clean and good looking e30. Maybe next time i'll have a R3V flyer to give him.

Like mine but with a spoiler in the back (which was optional).

    The pinstriping is optional though...

Here is a late model one.

    Full blown:

    Early with the graphics:

Here you can see the original E30 Alpina spoiler NLA. Much blockier than the one they sell now:
    Im now E30less.

i knew the alpina slut would come through...ok it didn't look like that it had the stock "is" lip infront and was way lower than that.

if that picture is his car then no, it was grey/silver and didn't have any pinstriping. Also didn't have the alpina front lip just the good old is lip

I think his car looks awsome with those stickers. But I'm probably a minority here.

Is that some sort of Bauer/Alpina?

The early rubber alpina spoiler is fucking disgusting, btw.

It likely wasnt a real Alpina(for the fact that I only know of 2 real E30 Alpinas here in California) if it just had an is lip and no Alpina model designation badges on the grill and trunklid. Also Alpina removed the BMW designation badges on their later cars as they are an official car manufacturer not just a tuner. Sounds like a nice 325is though with Alpina wheels it must be a cool daily driver :) Although I dont know about the homemade decals.

It would take the lottery. Right now I am working on the cheaper alternative, an S52.

I think the guys at Alpina would approve.
