I just want to know what sub-compact managed to achieve only 9 MPG in the city in 1986?

1600x1200 (1.9m pixels) is kind of mediocre resolution, I was hoping for something at least 3000x4000 (12m pixels.)

Link for ordering American documentation from BMW directly

Not sure what exactly they are sending you. Could be similar to what Porsche sends out.. From the classic site:

"Only if the origin of your classic is properly documented, its value can be determined. Here the BMW Classic helps certificate. This allows you to confirm the production and delivery data writing for your BMW classics or classic vehicles from the age of 20 years. In addition to this one-sided version of the certificate provides the BMW Group Archives also a double-sided version. This additionally contains all the technical data of your vehicle."

these first two came from an '86 "e". apparently, there is no vin number on the sticker in this year

i hope this helps. perhaps others with original stickers can post up. the image size i used was 1600x1200.

Thank you JasonC, but I don't see anywhere in the thread I started where there is this link you provided? I cannot track down that member of bimmerforums either for some reason.

Yeah, I could easily do this if I had a fresh scan of a clean original window sticker and then the vin. I'm not going to responsible for printing though.

Ant, if you can get me that, I will help you. If you get them, send me a PM so I don't miss your post.
