    WTB e30 Need Help!

Hey guys, I've had the itch for an e30 for a while now. I need your advice as to what trim I should get...318 vs. 325. Also if I should go for auto or manual (I know). There's this auto 325is that looks nice but not much info on it. And my friend's manual bronzit with 67k miles that he wants to sell soon.

I am coming from an e46 since I've owned two.

I appreciate any advice you may have.

I prefer the 325's. I have a 325e, 325is, and now a 325ic. I know people that prefer the 318's. So that's up to you! 6cyl vs a 4cyl. 318's are lighter. People can debate which is the better car forever Definitely go with a 5 speed... Got my first auto e30 a month ago.. its awful. Boring to drive! But get into an e30. I've been driving one for 8 years now. I love em!

It depends on what you want and if you are going to mod or not. What E46 are you coming from? If you can drive stick, get stick, although its not overly expensive to do a manual swap on these cars, so you could always buy the auto and change it over.

The year also makes a big difference, when the M42 318 came out it was a major update in engines. I personally still would prefer the 325 due to the additional power and they are pretty much bullet proof if you change the timing belt.

I will give you a tip on this forum, Bronzit is a color most people do not want, but if you like it then you will probably get a better deal those. A combo of Bronzit and an Auto is the worse combo on the planet.

If you like Bronzit an E30 with only 67k manual would be a great deal as long as the condition and the price are right.

Says you ! :hitler: LOL .....to everybody there own poison. I love semiautomatic ! Great for just cruising and when in traffic ! I have owned my car for 16 years now and wouldn't change a thing about it.Between a 325i or 318is, i would take the 325i m20 2.5 anyday.

Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

I'm coming from a 325ci 5spd so I can drive stick, but not pro haha. This is my first manual car though. Would be nice to have one auto and one manual though. The seller has parts for the 5spd swap too. I still have yet to see it but my friend with the bronzit thinks the black e30 is a good deal. People are offering too much for his bronzit so I think I'm gonna pass on that one.
