Dang, those look good. Trying to track down a pair of the correct Recaro's as well. Might have to hit up Blunt for the cloth in the meantime.

I went to his site to look for it. First i tried alpina in the search box. Hundreds of random results. Then i tried alpina fabric but his search box doesnt allow for a space between words.

Post a link when you have time please brandon.

Nice seats... unless you allow asshats into your car that MIGHT spill something, I'd go with the cloth too. Even my 6 year old son knows better than to spill shit in my car. ;)

Not sure I would call kids "asshats.." :)

But seriously, know what you mean, I have leather in the Saab daily, and I am just amazed when I pull the car seat out what I find back there..

Luckily, where the cloth will be going is not going to be driven daily and only brought out for special occasions.

There's a reason why race seats are not covered with leather.

The fabric looks great! The stitching where the fabric meets the leather could have been better, IMO. It could be the pics though...

In race vehicles it's also common to replace items every few races. Durability is much more valued in non race cars.

the seats are ls-c, but they are not typical ls-c seats. the bases and the folding mechanism are completely different. also, the bolsters are the second style which is a little bigger and more rounded than the third style.

Got it. Did all Alpinas come with Recaros, or did they have sports seats with alpina cloth?

They came with whatever the new owner spec'd. Several did come with the Alpina Recaros but, that was additional on top of the other price, so many people it seems went with the basic sport interior. In fact, most of the verts seem to avoid the Recaro's and just use the factory sport seats.

There was never any sports seats done with the Alpina fabric though, so if you see a set, they are not original.

Also, the very EARLY C1's are somewhat carryovers from the E21 version, and as such have the same seats, which a slightly different Recaro (completely different fabric.)

Here is a set that sold on eBay recently:

Got these first gen Recaro LS-C's last year and sold my minty E30 M3 Natural Tan interior to switch to black. So happy I did.

Had ninestitch do the rear seat cover and will be getting the Recaros done to match soon. Decided to go with cloth centers and nauga bolsters-both inner and outer w/o piping. With the original corduroy cloth on the centers and inner bolsters it holds you in place like velcro. Kinda have to lower yourself into the seats when you get in, cause it's difficult to move otherwise.

But goddamn, the Recaros are so comfortable and supportive. Sooooo much better than the OE sport seats.
