I have to say, that guy in the blue jacket did a great job biding his time for the opportunity.

I have little remorse any more for thieves.

It was a 97 540iA, previous owner had put a lot of money in it and let it go for a steal price, needed some love so my friend picked it up but the gas $$$ was killer.

That article is actually off about that, we weren't in Antioch when we got jacked, back road near our town which I would rather keep untold.

I'm shocked the guy was in good enough condition to engage the police after hitting that pole. That E39 hit hard. Wow. Glad everyone is ok.

and before he came to us in the stolen truck earlier in the morning he had shot at a McDonalds that his girlfriend had worked at or something, then he ended up hiding at where we usually cruise out at. And here's a pic of what the car looked like before it got in a pole and shootout.
    You guys take terrible photos.

Any insurance should cover this especially if it hit the news.

    Damn!

This. When I was younger, I did a lot of stupid ish, and have stared down a gun a couple times. Luckily, the guys never had the gonads to pull the trigger..

But now, I don't take those risks. Like has been said before, it's just stuff, and I have insurance to cover it.

My life, and my kids future is not worth the risk..

I was thinking similar, if someone jacks the S4, the methanol is getting turned off.

They would make it into mid 2nd gear, maybe. I do have full coverage on it though.

We're all thankful to be alive, could have ended really nasty if we didn't comply. And for anyone who was wondering about the gofundme heres the link, has more pics and info about the story https://www.gofundme.com/23cp2xjg

Actually I was taught that disarming move in my Kick boxing lessons. He also taught other stuff so gave us a little extra here and there.

Although the way I was taught involves taking possession, and turning the guys trigger finger into a limp noodle in the process.

Worst thing a person can do is stick the gun directly in your face while you have your hands up and to the side.

But hey, back on topic damnit!

Also, I need to watch that movie.

    Sucks about the car
I carry as well but what you are saying is delusional.

I'm not going to draw on someone who already has a shotgun leveled on me, and I'm not going to shoot him in the back.

    First option is likely death.

Second option is prison, regardless of the situation.

Granted, if he had it leveled on my friend or was distracted to where I felt I could get the job done cleanly, sure. (I need to clarify, I don't mean that I would pull the weapon in sight of someone who has a gun on my friend, that would go right along with the first scenario and likely get someone innocent killed. My point is that a situation like this is such a fluid thing that you cannot have a simple "if A happens I'm going to do B." )

But alas, you nor I was there, so we can't say what we would have done.
