      The engine might run okay if the sock is in very tight and saturated with oil. I know for a fact that with the engine will not be happy if the cap is removed during idling.

                On the flip side if you replace your socks with oil caps you're feet won't have any vacuum leaks.

                    I don't understand all the hate. All I've done is try to help someone out if they lose their oil cap and everyone has attacked me for it.

                    You've all said it's a vacuum leak but still no one has given me a link to any kind of proof. I don't use my motor to clean the floors because I have a vacuum for that. I don't see any similarity.

                    I'll keep driving like it is and hopefully someone gets use from my discovery.
