Because the t-stat failed open and the owner lacks the mechanical ability to replace it but has the ability to make not-that-tasteful mods to the aesthetics cause in the end....aesthetics is all that matters.

I don't understand the hate for the kit. On verts, yeah it looks dumb. But I've seen a few e30s that I think look pretty good.

Yes it is a rendering and it's pretty spot on for how ugly the kit is on real cars.
