    Sealed rear window replacement

My car got broken into and I am trying to find a replacement for my non-pop out rear quarter window. All the local glass shops only sell the movable pop out window and nobody acknowledges the fact that not all E30s were pop-out.

Have any of you replaced a sealed window before? Was it really hard to find the glass? Any advice?

Branden, how hard was it to remove? I don't even want to do the work myself.

Chris, I have full coverage but the deductable is $500 and the window is going to be less than that. They need receipts to replace the stereo, which I don't have, but I might be able to get some. I don't plan on replacing the stereo though, since it will just get stolen again. But I could put the money towards fixing my tie rods and control arms...

The e30 i just bought has non-pop out quarter windows. They are usually mounted in a rubber gasket, and are installed by using a small diameter rope to pull the gasket lip over the metal flange of the window opening.

Your best bet is to find a complete used assembly - gasket, glass, molding.

Shoot me an email or post in this thread if you need help installing one.
