^^^this is what I came here to say.

from one young guy to a young(er) guy, I'm learning that mistakes help you in the long run (I've made plenty). thats how you know to make better decisions. down the road you'll know to buy a used cpo car from bmw with a wonderful warranty and you'll reminisce about the time you bought from craigslist and got screwed lol

like others have said though, as long as you learn from your mistakes.
didn't read all the pages but sounds like you sort of got it figured out. good luck op.

        6500/365=17.8.

Insurance isn't free money either. They'll get theirs, most likely in the form of increased premiums to your parents until you get your own policy. Assuming an at-fault or one-car accident, you'll be paying for that well into - and possibly most of - your 20s.

:stupid: please close this thread now.

op, the sooner you can sell the car and move on from this massive mistake the better.

If you spent half as much time reading up about how to do the needed work on your car as you do replying to this thread, you'd probably have had it fixed by now.

The continuous periods at the end of your statement show you've seriously considered this option.

Do it OP, end this thread out right. Write the thing off. Collect insurance. Profit.

Its like bankruptcy. Its free money. AMERICA!

Think about how many times you can crash and fix your e30 with 17k in your piggy bank.

You would be crashing into people's houses for fun.

We are talking F30 here, not e30. I seriously cant find any info or DIYs online. Its the newest 3 series. Any ones that have had problems for the most part have been replaced under warranty. Not many people are doing things themselves yet.
