strut tower mount ?????

I have the BMP strut tower mount and it dose not fit. I know there are 2 different ones but the one I have has the off set bushing so it it both sizes. The tower bar wont fite even when the car is jacked up. Is my car tweaked and if I do get the bar on will I run in to more problems? And will I nead an alignment whren It is on? Thanks
