And yet you have done nothing but make statements insinuating things you cant back up with any facts.

The energy companies make money for one reason and one reason alone, people buy gas. The companies have a higher COGS because of the futures market so they raise their wholesale refined prices they sell to the resellers and the resellers raise their pump prices. What in this is illegal or immoral? Consumers continue to consume them.

Businesses go into a business, you might want to sit down because what I am going to say is apparently going to shock you, they go into business to make money. They arent in the business of giving away free gas when the COGS gets too high, they are going to raise their prices to continue making money (as long as they believe the consumer will continue to consume enough of the goods at the new price). This applies to toilet paper too, although I didnt hear anyone blaming Bush for the 6% increase the big players of the household paper goods market nearly unanimously rolled out last year. That was 5x the increase of the previous 5 years. Talk about a spike.

A hell of a lot more reliable sources than some guy who has nothing on the internet. You claim to be old and want that to make me think you are intellegent but you argue just like some idiot college freshman. Nope, they tried that at the start of the year and got over it by feb. :P

As soon as the mainland started rising, we were rising day to day to keep up. Then prices fall and nobody lowers theirs.

I have record high prices and record profiits for ANY industry in the history of mankind to back up my claims. I also have an administration that's tied to the oil industry in 17 different ways and is in bed with every energy and pharmaceutical company in the country.

Furthermore, I couldn't care less if you choose to keep your head in the sand and lube up for your president and his cronies.

Show where they pulled the strings. Show where they have affected policies in every other nation in the world to see their trends match ours almost exactly, show evidence of illegal price fixing. There are select examples like those stations gouging after Katrina (who were prosecuted) and the reduction in output because of the pointless war but even that one actaully only affects the buying habits on the futures market.

I showed evidence that the actual wholesale futures market set the prices and not the oil companies to debunk your myth that the oil companies were the forces behind these prices.

Not attributable to market forces? If you continue to buy it, guess what, it IS attributable to market forces. Supply and demand, if the demand is there they can continue to charge the high prices up to the point where the demand slides. Its called maximizing profits, its done all the way from a fucking backery on the corner to MNCs.

You dont expect the owner of a packed restaurant to lower his prices because he is making TOO MUCH MONEY. If you think that you are really and idiot. He is going to keep charging the high prices until his popularity fades, then he will discount. Its why there exists high-end restaurants. Fuck, its why business exists in the first place.

The only way Bush could be to blame is if he was sending little messages into your easily manipulated brain forcing you to go buy gas and drive your car all over the fucking place. Youd better get back in your basement with your foil hat to prevent it.
