I've only been here a few weeks and I'll be straight with you, I'm not impressed. Yes, it's better than E30tech but it's still one of the poorer automotive sites I frequent.
I've had one thread closed because people can't stay anywhere near the topic, one thread turn in to something I can't view at work, one suspension thread going right now that this Dave fellow plans on ruining and one successful thread about information of stroker motors. Not a good ratio IMO.
I hope this doesn't keep up because this is one of the best BMW specific forums I've been to, but that's not saying much."We've stumbled along for a while, trying to run a new civilization in old ways, but we've got to start to make this world over." -Thomas Edison, 1912Comment

If you initiate a thread, it's your baby to do the best you can to keep it focused - not to say you didn't, and at least you have the nuts to say what you mean even if it may not be popular to hear.I've only been here a few weeks and I'll be straight with you, I'm not impressed.

Even though I registered in April, I didn't spend much time here until I bought another E30. I like the forum, and the members seem pretty cool as well.
Luckily, I missed the entire Jordan era. After witnessing his act on another forum, I can safely say that i wouldn't be a member here if he still owned the joint.
I've gotten a ton of good info from some of you guys. I have no real complaints, either, and I see real potential here for the future.McCain's military draft: Are you willing to bet your life?Comment

i like r3v infinitely better post-jordan, it seems like its become much less of a purist forum and more of a car forum.
the only down side since then is that membership has seemed to decline, but thats definetly not your guys' faults.: : 1984 318i : : PNW E30 Crew : : Sold!!

Congragulations on the one year!
I think the site has taken a turn for the better in general. I think the atmosphere has been much more communal and relaxed since the change. This has made me frequent the site much more than i used to. I bassically surf this and s14.net exclusively, and I'm glad to see that conversation here has gone from manatee-butt-rape to more, dare I say, intellectual conversation? Bassically, the people who post don't seem as retarded as they used to. Opinions are being shared and people are not afraid of speaking their mind. That is how it should be. Problems are being dealt with properly, and mods are taking (appropriate) preemptive action to stop issues before they start or escalate into something that won't be good for the community.
Here's to another year!

You started a whiny "tattoo" thread on an automotive forum that already has about 27 whiny tattoo threads buried in it.
No one cares.

Although I miss Jordan and his brand of ownership, I think the new ownership has done and is doing a fine job running things. Room for improvement, always, but I don't have any complaints.
We've lost some members and added more, that's just how life is, ever changing. I personally think the majority of changes here have been for the better. In the last few months things have been much smoother around here, not so much drama.
As for tech info, still a great place. Plenty of old threads to visit, and new ones popping up all the time.
The thing to remember is this: It's the member base that makes R3VLimited what it is, the best E30 BMW forum on the web. Period. And I think the member base is getting stronger all the time. Welcoming new members and not insulting them constantly will only stand to improve things in the future. There will always be the riff-raff, but that usually works itself out, so no worries. It's the big picture that matters, and it's looking very promising for the future.
All in all it's been a good year I think, and I'll say congratualtions to JJ&M for the great job they've done implementing new changes and working on improving the board constantly. At the same time a big pat on the back then to all the members of r3v as well for working together to make the board the best e30 forum around.
