    E30 Road Trip Tool Kit

I'm going on a road trip in the next few days with my early model 325e, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what to bring in terms of tools. Such as what are some common bolt sizes, or are there any specific tools I should bring.

    Thanks in advance

Besides the common hand tools mentioned above, a spare water pump / alternator belt, and if you have them around, spare main and fuel pump relays and a meter or so of the proper rubber fuel line and a knife to cut it with. Electrical tape and some extra fuses in the proper amperage are also good ideas. A few generic hose clamps. And a battery that is less than 5 years old.

Don't forget the multimeter and some sort of ETM/Bentley.

But beyond all of that you need to know your car and have done the preventative maintenance before the road trip. Otherwise you risk going full Roadkill, which isn't bad per se, but can be annoying if you don't have a production budget.

Right? The OEM tool kit has nearly enough to do road side service lol. The thing I hate about those "all-in-one" kits is most of it is SAE and never get used on an e30.

A small metric socket set, a couple adjustable wrenches, a screw driver with different bits, pliers, and gloves is about all you need. If I ever do need to do tinkering while on the road, the factory tool kit is usually sufficient.

I'd also bring fluids. Small container of ATF, motor oil, distilled water and/or anti freeze mix, and windshield washer fluid.
