What was your first car you owned??

Well we all pretty much have E30s now, but what was the first car you ever owned after getting your liscence??

My first car when I was 16...(1997..eek!)
1968 Chevelle Malibu 2dr... Teal Metallic green and I helped my dad put my pretty rebuilt Impala plum purple engine in. Only thing I didnt agree with was it was only a straight 6 :( (My dad didnt trust me with an 8 in it.) Still a sweet car though.. Lots of Bondo, Ivy Gold interior, and electrical issues :) Rawr!

1989 heep wrangler sahara edition

bought it at an auction complete w/
peugoet gearbox, bad 2nd 3rd and 5th gear synchros
bad transfer case
no front driveshaft
high perfomance stock carburator missing 1/2 of the linkages (got 5mpg!!)
etc etc etc

it's what got me into cars tho ;-)

1989 Old Delta 88 Royale

Lots of room on the backseat, but a total piece of shit. Two tone paint job, silver and rust, and a really badly cracked vinyl roof. Bought it for $50, sold it for $500, and did $1000 worth of work to it before teh new owner smashed it. Ran like a top, just needed new fuel and brake lines, and a new starter.

I had a pretty pimpin datson 210 wagon baby blue w/ white interior. It was sweet, too bad it only ran for a month before blowing, then i got the E30

Befor i had my license i had an 89 gti 16v that i bought for $700 with a cutup wiring harness and horrible paint(car was not running). I put $300 worth of parts in it(wire harness, primer,ect) I sanded it down and primered and turned around and sold the car for $2200 and with the extra money left over i went out and bought a 88 325is a few weeks before i was 16..Now that car is my brother turbo 325is!!! so in a way i guess the GTI was my first car but i never drove it more than down the street and to the store a few blacks away...

1986 325e

1981 oldsmobile cutlass supreme, 3.8l "cameater" V6, 200,000+ miles, ~90 hp, 0-60 in 20 seconds, $600.



I ran it completely out of oil 3 times (had a cracked head and plugged oil galleys), drove it about 2 miles each time that way, and it still ran.. then I sold it to a hispanic dude for $700 :D
