Motorswap progress with lots of PICS! :)

She's coming together. I've got to go to work on it now with my dad, and we will HOPEFULLY have it running today, however with our recent luck, don't count on it.

Nice work, looks like it's really coming along!

And I love that vanos decal, I've never seen that before. It looks badass.

      Keep up the good work!

        It's alive! :D

We worked on it from 9-4 today and made good progress. When it came time to start it for a test-fire, it wouldn't fire. We didn't understand it because we had excellent spark, injector pulse, timing, etc. We thought it was this strange wiring harness we had.

We then tested a spark plug and realized it was DRY. Therefore we knew the injectors were clogged. We cleaned and pressure tested a second set of injectors and installed them.

Then I cranked it, and heard the most glorious sound ever :)

Tomorrow we're finishing up the cooling system, doing wiring details, properly installing the ECU, and putting an intake on. CANT WAIT!

                        So I got it running today after doing a tear-down on a '92 M50....

I've been driving it since about 5:00. Holy. Shit.

This thing is fast. I can't turn it over 4000 (break in, duh) but from about 2500-4000, whew. The best discription I can give it "it feels like the boost is coming on."

It's really loud, because it only has headers and mid-pipes. I'm doing the exhaust tomorrow at a friends shop early in the morning.

It's fast. Yea. It's fast. I've probably got another 50 ft. pounds of mid-range to be had after the break-in, injectors and chip. :D
