I would have to agree that sporting a DOHC VANOS sticker and 316d doesn't mix.

but i guess it's more than just chance that the sticker looks like a DOHC VTEC sticker.....hmmmm, if Stu meets any Honda folks and his showing off his 316d.....they might think that sticker is for show. (Like all those cars running with "Type R" stickers on their stock hondas.....or worse, M3 badging on a 318.......) But anyway, if one of those ricers assume Stu is a ricer.......they will be in for a BIG surprise!

i delt with one of those e36 318 m3s the other day... i ran his ass just so i could see how bad he pulled me and i ended up wooping his ass up a mountain.
i was just laughing because he had done everyint to the exterior making it look fast, like big wing, body kit, 19inch wheels, slammed suspension. to tell you the truth, i was afraid, but when i pulled his ass uphil and through some corners... it felt really good!

well, the decal is located in the position DOHC VTEC decals are located on the new Civic Si, which adds to the effect.

            Ricer: Who tuned your car?
Stu: Oh, just me and my dad..... (;))
            Ricer: Wanna race?
Stu: Sure, (at the drag strip of course)
Ricer: I got the B20/VTEC, it bumps out nearly 207hp! I'm going to smoke you.
            Stu: Sure thing....

Those stickers sure threw up some contraversy.

Car has been a blast. I just got back to school with it, and it has about 480 miles on it. I have started turning it 6000+ in 1st-2nd gears, and it pulls nicely. Very nicely. Like, you have to shift to 2nd before you can think about it. :)

The mid-range is really what I love. 2000, 2500 and squeeze it and it just pulls. I'm also missing out on about 15-20 foot/pounds in the mid-range because of a faulty HFM alone.

The exhaust was done on Monday, and it's pretty sweet, and I love the sound. It has a single black pipe coming out the back and it really looks like a 4 cylinder car from the back. I love it.

I took some pictures this weekend, and will post them later.

                    Good times.

Good looking setup Stu. Congrats man. The Vanos sticker is a bit ricey. But as of late i have a tendancy to lean toward the dark side anyway when it comes to exterior. Rieger, Sparco, big non-bmw company wheels you know, those likes. I'd sport one of those stickers dude. The M50 swap is next. The 3 liter is given me shit. I wont steal your thread though bro. It looks good man. You're representin NC well man.

The sticker is not ricey if he can back it up. It's not like his car has a 1.6l and a fart can....

Bierbrenner---sorry I missed your question earlier.

                                The beer-n-lightbulb trick.

                                Tools required:
                                beer
                                HFM
                                intake boot
                                light bulb
                                vice (to stretch)

                                1. Put the lightbulb in the intake boot to get the rubber hot.

                                2. Drink the beer. (by the time you finish the beer, the boot will be hot enough)

                                3. Put the boot over a vice and open the vice to STRETCH out the boot

                                4. Quickly position the HFM and very quickly install the boot over the HFM. It sometimes won't stretch far enough, and requires being heated up 2-3 times to get it right.

Two or three beers as well...
